​​Camela L. Douglass, M.S. ED.

​
Camela L. Douglass is a robust, vivacious professional whose primary goal is to motivate and inspire individuals to maximize their full potential for greatness.  Resourceful and committed to serving others, she is devoted to fostering successful interpersonal relationships.  Her presentation is applicable to all people and transcends race, gender, socioeconomic background, and interest.  She is highly respected by her peers and clients for her honesty, creativity, and striking personality.​

Camela has been committed to empowering individuals for over 14 years.  Her work began in Dayton, OH with the implementation of professional football Hall of Famer Jim Brown’s Amer-I-Can Program.  In 2006, she formed Mo2v8u! (Motivate You) Enterprises, LLC. which is an umbrella organization that focuses on empowering and developing the whole person.  In 2008, she opened her own health and wellness facility called Mo Better Me Lifestyle Change Studio in Trotwood, OH, in which she received the Trotwood Chamber of Commerce Small Business Award just six months later.  In November 2009, she received the Dayton Chapter of NAACP Diamond Award for her work in Health & Wellness.

Camela is an educator and life coach and has been a certified personal trainer and fitness instructor for the past 13 years. Her energy, confidence, striking personality drove her to create her own personal fitness company called Mosha- Moving and Shaking Your Way to Health & Wellness.  She released her first fitness DVD and CD in December 2009.  In 2009, she also formed the Mo Better Me Fitness Academy for Youth which focuses on child obesity intervention and prevention. In 2010, she partnered with The Mustard Seed Foundation, to hold the first Kardio Kidz Summer Camp.  She expects to release her second fitness DVD and CD in March 20 2013.

​​Camela is very active in her community.  In addition to being an Adjunct Professor at Central State University, she actively participates in various community events.  She volunteers and teaches fitness classes at multiple public schools as well as teaches annually at the downtown Urban Nights, Courthouse Square, Riverscape, amongst other 5Ks, festivals, and fundraisers.  She also connects with the community as a contributing writer for The Dayton Weekly, Urban Trendsetters, Urban Source, and Trendsetters to Trendsetters online magazine.

Camela is working on her PhD in Education with an emphasis on Training and Performance Improvement from Capella University.  She received her Masters of Science in Education and Allied Professions degree from the University of Dayton.  She obtained her Bachelor of Arts in Communications from Bowling Green State University.  In addition to education, she has also had the opportunity to be trained by the best in the fitness industry: Beto, the creator of Zumba, Shaun T, the creator of Hip Hop Abs and Insanity, and international choreographer Madonna Grimes.
